A two-night stay at Long View Lodge in Long Lake
Relax by the lake for two nights at the Long View Lodge in Long Lake. With beautiful views of Long Lake, Long View Lodge has newly renovated guest rooms, a great room, and a private beach. Grab a rocker on the wrap-around porch and unwind with a glass of wine or enjoy lunch and drinks at the recently remodeled Bar and Grill. Open daily beginning summer 2018, the Long View Lodge is your Adirondack home away from home.
Enjoy dinner for two at the Adirondack Hotel in Long Lake
Enjoy a $50 gift certificate toward dinner for two at the beautiful Adirondack Hotel in Long Lake. From their first rate poutine and other great starters to their hearty entrees and pizzas, the restaurant serves up some great food. The bar in the rustic Adirondack taproom offers an excellent selection of drinks and features a great variety of local and state micro brews that change seasonally. After dinner, you can stroll out onto the porch and relax in one of their many rocking chairs. Enjoy the view of Long Lake just across the street as you rock and let time just slip away.
Enjoy admission for two to the Adirondack Experience Museum on Blue Mountain Lake. Visit the new, interactive "Life in the Adirondacks" exhibit where you can learn how people traveled, lived, and worked in the Adirondacks. The boating exhibit is always a tried-and-true favorite where you can see historic guide boats and canoes. You may even get to see someone handcrafting a boat on site. There are plenty of family friendly exhibits and great activities for kids and adults alike. Hop aboard an old Pullman Locomotive car and see what life was like traveling by train. Grab a paddle, then hop on a log and see if you can break up a log jam! The Adirondack Experience Museum on Blue Mountain Lake has something for everyone to learn and enjoy.
Passes for Great Camp Sagamore in Raquette Lake
Explore a piece of Adirondack History with admission for two to the Great Camp Sagamore. Your admission includes a tour of this National Historic Landmark. You'll learn about the architect and developer of the Great Camp Sagamore, William West Durant, as well as the history of this quintessential Adirondack Great Camp. Watch a short slide show and then enjoy an hour and a half walking tour of the buildings and property. Tour the dining hall overlooking Sagamore Lake, the Main Lodge, and the Playhouse where the Vanderbilt family entertained their guests. While it was originally designed on a much smaller scale to be a private and self-sufficient family camp, the Great Camp Sagamore has grown to become an icon of the Gilded Age in the Adirondacks.
