Fire Tower Challenge
Hamilton County is home to five firetowers that are open to the public. Most of the towers are "climbable", but some are open only for partial ascent.
If you would like to participate in the Hamilton County Firetower Challenge, call our office at 518 548-3076 (or 800-648-5239),and we'll send you the Firetower Challenge brochure. To complete the challenge and receive the full color patch (seen to the left), you must climb all five mountains, document the date and fill out a comment for each summit reached. Simply mail the brochure (or a copy) to our office and we'll send you an embroidered commemorative patch, recognizing your achievement.
Note: Climbing each tower is not required, nor recommended in order to receive your patch.
