Adirondack Wild Paddling

Hamilton County Waterways

Paddle pristine motorless areas like Lake Lila, Little Tupper, Round, and Low's Lakes. Find wilderness campsites on the shores of Long and Indian Lakes or admire Great Camp architecture on Raquette and Blue Mountain Lakes. Spend days in your canoe or kayak exploring isolated inlets, or make a quick circuit around a pond before dinner. You'll always enjoy breath-taking views.

Whitewater challenges are found on the Bog and Sacandaga Rivers. Please scout these waters before shooting the rapids. Rafting trips are available from experienced outfitters and are a blast for families with older children.

Licensed Guides can provide a day paddle to scout for wildlife and birds, instructions on canoe or kayaking techniques, or a multi-day canoe camping trip.

Please be prepared for changes in the weather and if an electrical storm rolls in, GET OFF THE WATER.
