This relatively easy 1.3-mile walk (round trip) to Rock Lake proceeds through a mixed hardwood/conifer forest. The hike ends at a lovely marsh along Rock Lake. This is an outstanding trail for sighting Wood Warblers including Blackburnian and Nashville, as well as marsh birds. It is also possible to see Black-backed Woodpeckers.
