Lake Lila
GPS Coordinates: ( 44.014793040101, -74.72823143005 )Long LakeLake Lila is not really a pond, but it is in the backcountry where motors are not allowed. First-rate opportunities for small mouth bass and lake trout are found here. This popular primitive canoeing and camping area sees little fishing pressure. There is deep water west of Buck and Spruce Islands favored by lake trout. Any rocky area, including the bay at the lake's northeast end, is friendly to smallies. BYOC (Bring Your Own Canoe)
Directions
From Rt. 30 north of Long Lake, take Circle Rd. west to Sabattis Rd. This six mile dirt road ends at the parking area for Lake Lila. There is a one third of a mile carry/hike to the lake itself.
