The weed bed at the southern end of the lake is where the pike hang out. The deep water in mid-lake is where the brown trout and lakers are found. Work the rocky shoreline for small mouth bass.

A beach launch for smaller boats is located at the Lewey Lake State Campground on Rt. 30, 14 miles north of the village of Speculator.
