Mason Lake has largemouth bass lurking in the shallow water and weed beds, and among the submerged stumps. Five pounders are found here.
Directions
Drive north on Route 30 from Speculator for 8.0 miles. The lake will be on the left (west) side of route 30. Access the lake from the parking area, or continue on to the dirt road just past the parking area, where you can access the lake anywhere along the road. There are six primitive campsites on the lake along this dirt road, which leads to Perkins Clearing.
