Sacandaga River

The river parallels Rt. 30 between Sepculator and Wells. Sacandaga State Campground provides the most popular fishing. This area has excellent access with deep pools. Upstream from the campground, the river runs through a gorge where the road crosses it. This may appeal to daring fly fishers.
Directions
Access is from various points along Rt. 30, which runs along the river. There is also a DEC campground 2 miles south of Wells.
