Lake Pleasant
The Fawn Lake Trail is a relatively flat trail into a pristine, unihabited lake surrounded by state land. There is a small sand beach at one end of the lake and areas for a picnic along the shore. The trail leading to the north shore of the lake is a snowmobile trail that leads to Piseco.
Directions
From Speculator, drive west on Rte 8 for 4.0 miles, passing the Lake Pleasant Golf Course on your right. Turn right onto Fish Mountain Road. Bear left at the intersection; turn right on Fawn Lake Rd. Follow to Fawn Lake trailhead near the end of the road.
