Point Comfort DEC campground Boat Launch

Point comfort campsite is the most remote of the 3 DEC campsites located on Piseco Lake and is well known for its quieter atmosphere due to its remoteness. It has the largest natural sand beach and a large day area. A day use pass if required for use of the boat launch.

HOW TO GET THERE

From the intersection of Route 8 & 30 in Speculator and drive west on Route 8 for 8.8 miles. Take a right onto Old Piseco Road (Casey's Corner's Convenience Store & Gas on corner) and drive for 6.8 miles to reach Poplar Point on the left side of the road. (2 miles past the Little Sand Point Campsite)

FISH SPECIES

According to the DEC, fishing in the area include walleye, rainbow trout, brown trout, lake trout, smallmouth bass, brown bullhead, perch, rock bass, and white fish.
