Saturday, February 19, 2022– SNOCADE KICK OFF

  • 7 – 10AM Breakfast at Indian Lake Volunteer Fire Department with choice of eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, home fries, coffee, and juice
  • 10 – Noon Ice Lantern How-To Workshop at the Indian Lake Library with make & take supplies
  • 4 – 8PM Baked Potato Dinner at American Legion sponsored by Snow Warriors
  • 7PM FREE Concert with live music by Spring Street (a Tupper Lake band) at Indian Lake Theater sponsored by the Town of Indian Lake https://springstreetband.net/members.html

  • 10AM Cold Water Rescue, Chain Lakes Road. ILVFD and NYS DEC will demonstrate how to rescue a person or animal from cold water (weather permitting)

  • 8AM – 4PM FREE NYS Snowmobile Safety Course taught by state certified instructor Patricia Ryan-Curry at Town Hall located at 117 Pelon Road. Pre-registration is required, and class size may be limited. Call 518-414-2963 or email pryancurry@gmail.com to register today. PLEASE NOTE: This class will take place indoors and is subject to current COVID-19 mandates in place at the time of the course.

  • 7PM Three Stooges Night at Indian Lake Theater Join the Indian Lake Theater and our co-sponsor the Indian Lake Library for an evening of zany fun with the legendary Three Stooges! Join us and enjoy films (Disorder in the Court 1936, Sing a Song of Six Pants 1947, Malice in the Palace 1949 and Brideless Groom 1947), Stooge Trivia and maybe a Stooge-a-like Contest.

  • 11 – Noon “Snowflake Science” Story Time at the Indian Lake Library with crafts and activities
  • 1 PM – 4 PM Snocade Cardboard Sled and Kayak Races at Ski Hill/Hut with cookies and hot cocoa. Sleds can be made with cardboard, paint, wax, and tape. Kayaks may be decorated in a similar style. Pre-registration required by calling 518-648-5828 or indianlake2021@gmail.com no later than 2/22/2022 by 4PM. Prizes for sled/kayak include: Fastest; Most Eco-Friendly Design; and Most Adirondack Design. All ages welcomed.
  • 3 – 4 PM “For the Birds” Story Time at the Indian Lake Library with crafts and activities

  • Dusk Torchlight Ski Procession organized and sponsored by Pine’s Country Store followed by fireworks at the Ski Hill sponsored by The Town of Indian Lake
