From the intersection of Route 28 and Route 30 in Blue Mountain Lake, follow Route 28 toward Raquette Lake and continue for 2.5 miles to the state trailhead on the left.

Shoreline Fishing:

Follow the 0.5 mile foot trail to the western shore. Paths around the shore access other regions

Boat Access:

Not exceptional, but a small boat could be launched via the 0.5 mile portage

Insider Tips:

  • Grassy Pond is a very popular bullhead pond.
  • The shores provide decent access, but it might take a bit to find the best location.
  • Hence the name, the shore of this pond is grassy.
