This scenic lake, surrounded by evergreens, sees its fair share of action. A popular Brook Trout fishing destination for paddlers and anglers.

Directions to Access Points

From the intersection of Route 28 and Big Moose Road just west of Inlet, follow Big Moose Road. Turn right on Twitchell Road after 7.5 miles. Follow this to its end at the boat launch for Twitchell Lake, the trailhead is located here.

Shoreline Fishing

Very limited, only along the boat launch area.

  • There are some small stream trout in this lake, but none are going to be of any substantial size, so if you enjoy catching small stream trout this could be the place for you.
  • Weedless hooks, or floating a small bobber, are highly recommended.
