The scenic trail to secluded Jockeybush Lake follows a stream and passes by several small cascades and a moderately sized waterfall.

How to get there

From the intersection of Routes 8 and 10 in Piseco, follow Route 10 toward Caroga Lake. Continue for a little over 8 miles to the trailhead on the right.

Hiking and snowshoeing / cross country skiing

Following the outlet of the lake, the trail passes several small cascades and a moderately sized waterfall along the way. The trail climbs to the east end of the lake where it ends with a a view toward the open waters of Jokeybush Lake.

Fishing

This lake supports brook trout and panfish, but the use or possession of bait fish is prohibited.

Camping

There are 3 designated primitive tent sites along the trail, marked with NYS DEC yellow and black "Camp Here" markers.
