It is important to remember that the coronavirus in not over.  Our community and our businesses are practicing social distancing for you.  They are wearing masks and washing their hands often.  We ask you to please do the same.  Most businesses have hand sanitizer for you to use when you enter, and many require you to wear a mask while inside their building.  Please be respectful.

While State DEC Campgrounds (Browns Tract, Eighth Lake, Golden Beach, Limekiln Lake, Nick's Lake) including water-access campsites (Alger Island, Forked Lake) remain closed at this time, primitive tent sites outside of DEC campgrounds remain available for those who are recreating locally, but are limited to a maximum of three nights with nine people or less from the same household.  Additional information about camping can be found at

Town Parks: Arrowhead Park including the boardwalk is open to foot traffic.  Tenis courts are open.  Beach is expected to open (with restrictions) before July.  Playground and picnic area will open when state allows.  Restrooms are open.  Fern Park is open for hiking and biking.  Pavilion and restrooms remain closed at this time.
