Cross-Country Skiing - 1/4/20 Trails at Fern Park received 10+ inches of fresh snow on 1/2 and were groomed that day. Warm weather on 1/3 made us lose quite a bit, but then a little new snow on 1/4 has left them in fair to good condition. Parks Department may be grooming them on 1/5.
Inlet is on the cutting edge for traditional and skate skiing, offering miles of free, groomed trails at Fern Park, Inlet Golf Club, and Limekiln Lake Campground. Fern Park has 22 kilometers of marked, groomed trails with some challenging climbs and descents, 2 kilometers of which are lighted until 10 p.m. for night skiing.
The Inlet Golf Club and Limekiln Lake Campground offer about 3.5 kilometers of skate and traditional trails at each location. There are also some great ski touring trails around Moss Lake and Cascade Lake. Many of the summer hiking trails are also available to ski in the Inlet area.
There are miles of trails for all abilities of snowshoers available in the Inlet area. Snowshoe mountain trails with a vista or choose wooded, long-distance treks for the whole family.
