Timberlock is one of the oldest summer family resorts in the Adirondacks, enjoying a spectacular wilderness, lakeside setting.

Timberlock offers a rustic and informal experience for families looking to get away from the hectic pace of everyday life. There's no electricity at Timberlock; propane lamps allow plenty of light for reading in the family-sized cabins with one to three bedrooms and full bathrooms, screened-in porches, and sitting rooms. Smaller lakeside cabins and "tentlets" provide a more intimate experience for couples or singles — all with excellent privacy. Three wonderful, home-cooked meals are served family or buffet style on our covered historic lakeside dining porch with sweeping views.

Everyone's experience at Timberlock is completely personalized. You can play tennis, go horseback riding, go waterskiing or kayaking, take a hike, work in the wood shop, try archery, go paddleboarding, go sailing or canoeing, or take an evening boat ride. Or you can simply read, relax, sleep, cool off in the lake, and just enjoy the scenery. We offer lots of options for those who are looking for an action-filled vacation , as well as the perfect opportunity to just do nothing!

The Catlin family have owned and operated Timberlock since 1963. Bruce and Holly Catlin are the current owners. Bruce’s parents, Dick and Barb Catlin, ran the camp for 35 years.
