Access to this lake is tough, and a light boat is best for the steep hill you will need to descend and climb to access the lake. In the fall this sheltered lake is a superb short paddle with a unique feeling of seclusion.
How to get there:
From the intersection of Route 28 and Limekiln Road in Inlet follow, Limekiln Road to Moose River Plains Road. Follow Moose River Plains Road for 1.3 miles to a small pull off on the right above Fawn Lake, which can be seen below. There is no defined trail or path to the shore of Fawn Lake, but it is a worthy short bushwhack carry to the shore.
Type of launch:
0.1 mile portage with steep terrain.
Type of water:
This is a shallow and well sheltered lake. Motorboats are not permitted.
