From Sacandaga Lake you can paddle up to Mud Lake, or carry to beautiful Fawn Lake, which is surrounded by state land and has several good campsites. Sacandaga is easily accessible from the Moffitt Beach Campground & Day Use Area.
From Speculator, take Route 8 south, past Lake Pleasant on your left. For Moffitt Beach, turn right on Page Street, off of Route 8.
