The feeling of fall fills the air; cool crisp days complement cuddly brisk nights. Hiking, paddling, and hunting are the highlights of this season, and luckily Hamilton County in the Central Adirondacks has plenty of ways for you to get involved. Celebrate: Harvest, Halloween, Hometown
Cooler temps bring on thoughts of comfort foods, warm drinks, and laughter with friends old and new. On October 24, choose your location and then choose your meal: join the Speculator Lions Club as they host a delicious Roast Beef Dinner; or take part in the Annual Harvest Dinner at the Blue Mountain Lake Arts Center.
Of course, for many, the haunting season has to feature at least one trip that gets your blood pumping! The Haunted Forest and Dungeon at Oak Mountain in Speculator will host their Haunted House and Halloween Party on October 25.

Tree Lightings, candy canes, Santa, and sales! Plan to spend the weekend on November 28 & 29 and shop locally in Hamilton County - you'll find great items strewn throughout our local villages. Indian Lake will host their Christmas Country Tour featuring 20-30 crafters and artisans and lots of activities; Inlet kicks off the season with Adirondack Christmas on Main Street featuring a pet parade, tree lighting, candy cane hunt and more; and the Speculator Holiday Stroll will feature great shopping at a number of local independent retailers.
