When spring arrives in the heart of the Adirondacks, fun and festive events and activities come with it.
The Adirondacks have an abundance of sugar maple trees and maple syrup producers, and maple season is upon us! New York State Maple Producers will host two Maple Weekends filled with tours, pancake breakfasts, maple tastings, and more. Mark your calendars for the weekends of March 19 and 20, and April 2 and 3.
Water also comes to the forefront in spring as paddlers bring out their boats and start the hunt for new and upcoming products. Inlet's Woods Inn hosts The "Otter" Paddlesports Event in late May each year. Several companies will offer free demos over the three-day weekend of May 20 to 22. Whether you're an experienced or aspiring paddler, you won't want to miss this.
The big event of this spring is the Great Adirondack Garage Sale, which stretches from the Canadian border all the way to the Southern Adirondacks! The 200-plus miles of amazing garage sales throughout the Adirondacks during the Memorial Day weekend are sure to net you something you've been longing for. Don't miss this one!
It's never too early to plan for Adirondack summer events as well, so be sure to look ahead at all the region has to offer this summer.
