The newly renamed Adirondack Experience, The Museum on Blue Mountain Lake is open for its 60th season, offering the most immersive and diverse visitor experience in its six decades.
Perched on 121 sprawling acres overlooking stunning Blue Mountain Lake, the Adirondack Experience tells the compelling story of the region's past, present and future. Explore our 24 galleries and historic buildings, meet boat builders and basket makers, hike and discover birds, bugs and breathtaking forest life – there's so much to do.
Getting hungry? Grab a delicious lunch (prepared by Well Dressed Food) at the Lake View Café. Then sit back and take in the best views of Blue Mountain Lake. Don't forget your camera!
That's not all. Opening July 1, the most ambitious exhibition in the museum's history opens, Life in the Adirondacks. This 19,000 square foot, $8 million interactive exhibition includes:
- Amazing digital and hands on experiences.
- Hundreds of objects large and small.
- Exciting, immersive films and audio experiences.
- Virtual log drive experiences.
- Massive walk on map of the Adirondack Park.
