Little Sand DEC Campsite Boat Launch

Little Sand DEC Campsite Boat Launch

Little Sand Point is the largest of the Piseco DEC Campgrounds and is geared more for the RV/larger trailer (30-40 feet) visitors looking to get out into the woods. The tall hemlocks and red pines lining the campgrounds main roads are impressive and shade most campsites from the late day western sun. A facility day use fee is required to use the boat launch. The hard topped (concrete) surface boat ramp is great for launching both large and small craft. Day use fee required for use of the boat launch.

HOW TO GET THERE

From the intersection of Route 8 & 30 in Speculator and drive west on Route 8 for 8.8 miles. Take a right onto Old Piseco Road (Casey's Corner's Convenience Store & Gas on corner) and drive for 4.8 miles to reach Poplar Point on the left side of the road. (.92 miles from Poplar Point Campsite)
