Golden Beach State Campground

Located on the south shore of beautiful Raquette Lake.


Golden Beach Campground offers 205 tent and trailer sites, picnic area with tables and fireplaces, flush toilets, hot showers, trailer dump station, recycling center, mobility impaired accessibility, sand beach, swimming area, bathhouse, and hiking trails.

Pets are allowed with proof of a currently valid rabies vaccination in the form of a current year's tag or a certificate issued by the veterinarian. Campers can walk dogs on a leash no longer than six feet as long as the animal is under control. Dogs cannot be left unattended and are not allowed in facility structures, on the beach or in day use areas

Boating and Fishing

Motor boats, rowboats, and canoes allowed. Boat launch is shallow and unusable for large boats. The launch, mostly used by small boats or car top boats is improved black top 12 feet wide.

Fish present in Raquette Lake: Lake trout, brook trout, white fish, smelt, smallmouth bass, sunfish, yellow perch, brown bullhead, sucker, and minnow.
