Eclipse Presentation

The countdown to the eclipse is on!

Join us for a presentation by NASA Solar Eclipse Ambassador Seth McGowan, and Adirondack Sky Center and Observatory Board Member.

On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross the continental United States, providing an exciting and breathtaking opportunity for observation and science. A total solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun.

The eclipse in Speculator will be a deep partial (with magnitude 99.7%)! Come learn about this fascinating, and once in a lifetime event!

*This event is free to the public. Donations are welcome and encouraged! Suggested donation is $5 per person.

At the Lake Pleasant Library. 6:30 pm
