Mason Lake Fishing Area

Directions to Access Points:

From the intersection of Route 28 and Route 30 in Indian Lake follow Route 30 toward Speculator. Continue on Route 30 past the Lewey Lake Campground and locate Mason Lake on the right about 4 miles further. There is a designated parking area for the lake. Other access point do exist on the north side of the lake off the dirt road to Perkins Clearing.

Shoreline Fishing:

There is good shore fishing from Route 30 but much better from Perkins Clearing Road on the north side where campsites are available. Best for bullhead fishing

Boat access:

Canoe and Kayak access only, but you can have small outboards if you so choose to carry them down. The best fishing is from a boat to get out to the deeper waters in the center of the pond.

Fish Species Types:

Perch, Bullhead, Brown Trout
