Seventh Lake

Seventh Lake

Directions to Access Points:

From the intersection of Route 28 and Route 30, follow Route 28 through Raquette Lake and locate the state boat launch on the right.

Shoreline Fishing:

Along 7th Lake there are a ton of primitive campsites where you can practice shore fishing. You also have options along Route 28 and at the and around the state boat launch site. The water is quite shallow in the area of the boat launch so you can get out much further as needed.

Boat access:

This is the best form of fishing for 7th Lake. Use the concrete state boat launch to access with canoe, kayak, or motor boat. Locate Goff Island on the southern end of the lake and you should have decent luck with trout and salmon. Trolling for salmon and lake trout is also a good practice.

Fish Species Types:

Lake trout, landlocked salmon, brown trout, bull head, rainbow trout

Special Regulations:

Always follow state fishing regulations and be sure to pick up a NYS Freshwater Fishing Guide at your local outfitters or regional NYSDEC office.
