Tenant Creek Falls

Tenant Creek Falls

Hiking

Also known as Hope Falls.Tenant Creek Falls is a .9 to 4.1-mile hike through hemlock groves, mature open hardwoods, and scattered very large white pine.

Take Old State Road south of Wells, to Hope. Proceed until you reach Hope Falls Road on your left, and make that turn.

Off of Hope Falls Road, about .4 miles from the end of the road, is a newly constructed parking area right by the trailhead. You can no longer park at the old parking lot at the very end of Hope Falls Road, which is on private property.

The Tenant Creek Falls Trail now leaves from the back of the new parking area. There are three falls on Tenant Creek. The trail isn't marked beyond the first, but there is an easily followable herd path along the creek leading to the second and third falls.

Along a sharp bend of Tenant Creek there are three falls. First is dramatic 40-50 foot high cascades, marked by sloping drops with a plunge pool. Second and third are smaller, but still lovely, falls within 2 miles of the first ones.
