The Lemon Tree

If you are at all familiar with Speculator you may remember the Lemon Tree as it used to be: a Ski-Doo, Sea-Doo, Nautiques dealer / repair shop. It was the place you went if you needed your snowmobile serviced, your boat stored for the winter, or a new helmet or life jacket to continue enjoying your outdoor recreation.

While some of the building still looks the same, everything that Lemon Tree now has to offer has completely changed!

A modern and rustic brown brown building with outdoor seating and Adirondack chairs.

The fully renovated shop has been turned into a really cute, fun brew pub. When you first walk through the entry way in the front yard, you will see a few seating areas with Adirondack chairs surrounding fire pits. What a perfect place to enjoy a beer with friends!

Once you enter the front door, the bartender is straight ahead behind a beautifully crafted wood bar. While there isn't seating directly at the bar, there is ample seating located all through the building. Behind the bar are 12 tap handles, carrying microbrews from all around New York state. A large chalkboard behind the taps lists everything available. And if you aren't a beer person, don't worry! They usually have a tap or two dedicated to a hard cider or hard seltzer. They also carry a decent sized selection of wine. Snacks can also be ordered to accompany your beverage.

A large indoor fireplace with nearby seating.

Once you've grabbed your beer, you can choose to cuddle up on the couch in front of the big stone fire place, grab a stool at the high counters, or seat your group around one of the many dining tables available. Sometimes on weekends there is live entertainment. You might be able to catch a few tunes from a live band, or, if you watch social media page, you might be able to register for a paint and sip, held in the back of Lemon Tree Brewery by Bethsbrush. Even if you are just looking for a mellow date night, Lemon Tree Brewery is a great place to go!

How to get there

Right on Route 30 in Speculator, Lemon Tree is hard to miss. It's located walking distance from the public beach, many great walking/hiking and biking trails. Whether you're here for one night or an entire week, or you're a full-time Adirondacker, a trip to Lemon Tree Brewing would make a perfect end to a day exploring the big outdoors in Hamilton County.
